Overview

Order list is the admin register for Fixed Equipment commerce: sale orders, bookings, and returns from the customer portal or manual entry by staff. Use filters to find orders, open detail for fulfilment, invoicing, and shipments.

Prerequisites

Task Permission
View orders Fixed Equipment → Order list → View (or View own — your sales only)
Create manual order Create
Edit draft manual order Edit — draft manual orders only
Delete order Delete (UI may show delete; confirm route exists in your build)

Step-by-step: Find an order

  1. Go to Fixed Equipment → Order list.
  2. Set filters: date range, customer, status, channel (Portal / Manual), order type (sale, booking, return).
  3. Review the table: order number, customer, type, status, invoice link.
  4. Click View to open order detail.

Expected result: Filtered list of matching carts.

Step-by-step: Create a manual order

  1. Click Create order.
  2. Select customer and add line items.
  3. Save.

Expected result: Draft order (channel = manual) opens on the detail screen for further processing.

Step-by-step: Process order detail

  1. From the list, open View on an order.
  2. Update status, generate invoice, or link delivery/shipment as your workflow requires.
  3. Use return actions when the customer submits a return from the portal.

Expected result: Order progresses through statuses defined in the module (draft → processing → shipped → complete, etc.).

Common issues

Symptom Likely cause What to do
Order missing from list Channel or status filter Clear filters; check portal vs manual channel
Cannot edit order Not a draft manual order Portal orders edit via status/fulfilment only
View own shows few rows Seller filter applied to your staff id Expected — ask for global view if needed
