How to Create a Project
To create a new project, navigate to Projects from the side menu and click the New Project button in the top left corner.

Project Name: Enter the name of the project. This name will be visible to the customer.
Select Customer: Choose the customer associated with the project.
Billing Type: Select one of the three available billing types for the project. The most commonly used billing type will be auto-selected by default.
Status: The project status reflects its current phase or progress within the organization. It provides insights into various stages of the project life cycle, such as:
- Planning: The project is in the early development stages, including defining the scope and allocating resources.
- In Progress: Active work on the project is underway.
- On Hold: The project is temporarily paused due to reasons like resource constraints or shifting priorities.
- Completed: All tasks are finished, and the project is concluded.
- Cancelled: The project has been terminated and will not be completed.
Total Rate: Refers to the overall cost or billing rate associated with the project.
Estimated Hours: Based on the total billable hours for tasks. The total is calculated per task's hourly rate (you must set an hourly rate for tasks marked as billable when creating them).
Members: Use the drop-down menu to add members to the project. Only project members and staff with the appropriate permissions can access and manage this project.
Start Date: Select the date when the project is scheduled to officially begin.
End Date: Enter the date by which the project is expected to be completed.

Tag: Assign a tag to the project for easier identification and categorization. Tags help organize and filter projects based on specific themes or criteria.
Description: Provide a detailed overview of the project. Include context, objectives, and relevant details to help stakeholders understand the project's purpose and scope.
Send Project Created Email: Enable this option to automatically send an email notification to relevant stakeholders when a new project is created. The email may include:
- The project's name and key details
- Members involved in the project
- Start and end dates
- Objectives or goals
This feature ensures timely communication, keeping all relevant parties informed and promoting collaboration from the start of the project.

Click "Save" once all the necessary information has been entered.
