Audience: Accountants, finance managers, administrators
Version: 1.0.0
Last updated: 2026-07-22

Overview

The Dashboard gives a quick financial snapshot: bank balances, items waiting to be converted to the general ledger, profit and loss, expense breakdown, income by account, and cash flow. Use it to spot overdue conversion work and trends before opening detailed reports.

Go to Accounting → Dashboard.

Prerequisites

Role Typical permissions
Open Dashboard Accounting Dashboard → View

Other Accounting areas (Transactions, Reports, etc.) require their own permissions if you follow links from the dashboard.

What you see

Widget Description
Bank accounts Balances for cash and credit-card ledger accounts
Transactions not yet converted Count and total value of unconverted invoices, payments, and expenses (per currency tab)
Profit and loss Net income, income, and expenses for the selected period

Step-by-step: Change the reporting period

  1. Open Accounting → Dashboard.
  2. Click the filter button (default: Last 30 days).
  3. Choose a preset: all time, this/last month, this/last quarter, this/last year, or a financial year.
  4. Wait for charts and lists to refresh.

Step-by-step: Review unconverted transactions

  1. In the Transactions not yet converted panel, note red-highlighted rows with amounts.
  2. Switch the currency tab if you operate in multiple currencies.
  3. Click Invoice, Payment, or Expense to open the Transaction screen with the not-converted filter applied.
  4. Convert items from there (see the Transactions guide).

Step-by-step: Interpret profit and loss

The column chart shows three bars for the selected period:

  • Net income — income minus expenses (and cost of sales)
  • Income — total income accounts
  • Expenses — expenses, other expenses, and cost of sales combined

Figures follow your accounting method setting (cash vs accrual) under Accounting → Setting.
